I think you misunderstood me. Probably my bad. I was not 100% sure if they sold 1 stick at a time. I think all sticks were sold in boxes of three. I was not implying someone got an empty box. They are not scammers, every one that purchased ONE sticks received those sticks not a empty box.
Also they had a recall, they didn’t just disappear out of thin air, I’m sure they are busy.
Credit card… Really? If you don’t own anything from Tethrd and bash them every time you read a post about their stuff should I really take advice from you in how to deal with their products or customer service? Every time I have ever dealt with them they have been great with there customer service…
But they do have 2583 e mails to answer and create return labels.
I am a numbers guy and I have 42 years' experience in management. I am looking at the potential cost for this recall.
I am not saying they are going under, but I have seen good profitable companies go under when they had similar issues. Most companies are undercapitalized.
From a business side they have 7749 sticks to test.
They have the shipping costs on 2583 boxes of sticks both ways.
No one knows how long it will take someone to test a box of 3 sticks. But they have to open the box, log the customer's name and serial number of the sticks. Then test three sticks and if they pass, they re-box and ship out. If they can do 3 sticks in 30 MIN (just a guess for discussion) it will take them 1291-man hours. Two men working 40 hours per week = 16 weeks to test. Very few companies have two extra employees just sitting around doing nothing. If you use Joe from shipping to test who is going to do Joe's job? 1291-man hours at $15 per hour or really closer to $25 per hour with SS and other costs = $32K. What are the shipping costs for 2583 boxes?
What is 25% of the customers want a refund that's $226,000 plus return shipping.
Just something to think about.
