TEAM 3 - BARK BUSTERS

I’m hoping to get at least another doe this season. We just need two more does to not be last place! Let’s go team! Haha

Guys I haven't given up yet. Been down with an upper respiratory infection and couldn't get out.

But, my AL zone is open til 10 Feb and a GA archery only county is open til 31 jan. Don't count me out yet.

Hope all had a great holiday!

I’ve been after another deer and I have had several opportunities I have failed to capitalize on. My dad is in town and is hunting with me despite not being a deer hunter. It has made Hunting good spots difficult but we’re having a good time and we have seen deer on 2/3 hunts. I need to figure out where we are going tomorrow but hoping we can get one down. Good luck everyone.

I picked him up a kids cart to haul all the junk. His gear and stuff has been scattered and I’ve been carrying most of it to the tree for him but I don’t mind too much, just glad to share some hunts together. That’s and ole man tree climber from the 90s. It’s rock solid but it’s hardly mobile. I’m so glad to have such a streamlined saddle system that fits into one back pack. The weight and lack of bulk of 2TC is so worth the little extra effort climbing. It makes everything so much easier. 8851AFF5-CA16-45DF-B0D1-2DDB40FFAFED.jpeg300805B6-C880-44CD-B1C8-B75B6A8350D1.jpeg

Enjoy these times with your dad…… they are fleeting.
Besides one day hunting with him two years ago, this has been the first time hunting with him in 10 years. Glad that were finally get passed stuff and moving on. I’ve missed hunting and spending time with him that is for sure.

Well everyone,

I hunted my best spot last night. I passed on two fawns. Later I had a buck who had already shed his antlers come in broadside and present a shot. He looked like the left side of his belly had a large bulge, it was odd. He was walking and eating fine, I chose to pass on him. Later that night I had multiple shooter bucks come out but they were all out of range. It was one of the most active hunts of the season, but unfortunately my last for the year.

I crossed off a number of firsts this year - my first saddle kill, my first vertical bow kill, my first year in the saddle hunting contest. I also hunted almost exclusively out of my saddle this year, which was great.

Overall I had fun being on a team with you guys and I am already looking forward to next year. In the meantime stay safe.
