Standard, small, micro?

Anyone have any suggestions on arrow size?

Looking not to break bank, but also looking for test kit of arrows to get right spine and length, and point weight.

I’ve only shot small out of compound
 
Started standard and then went micro and then wound up going back to standard diameter shafts. Had a tough time getting the micros to tune (take that with a grain of salt though because everybody is different). Haven't given the micros a second thought since going back to standards.
 
Standard. I never messed around with small or micro. There are a couple of web sites that sell a pack of shafts with different spines you can buy to figure out the best for your bow. 3Rivers Archery is one. But they are standard.

Standard tends to be cheaper. Aluminum even more so. Don’t overthink it, even the cheap stuff is more than adequate.
 
Chances are your arrow falls cleanly into one of the size categories. Unless you're going with a heavy build, not sure how much "test kit" is needed. I kinda feel like it's an unnecessary step if you have a good idea what your spine range is. Then trim to fit....or not.

What is your true draw length, what is bow rated and what weight do you want to shoot up front?
I am trying to learn all this stuff also and I found this guy very interesting… not sure if he is legitimate but so far, I like listening to him.

Standard in the past, I am going to try some smalls this summer after TAC and see how they shoot. I don't see myself trying micros.
 
I shoot standard size arrows. I’m in a 3D league and I score just as good as the guys shooting fancy expensive arrows. I think some guys put money into arrows, some into saddles, ropes and sticks and others put money into their bows. It just whatever floats your boat.
 
I have killed a few deer, antelope and elk with cheap ass ACCMOS arrows from Amazon probably more than with some Eastons high end arrows.
 
Standards for me, have wanted to try a micro but never really got around to it. Gold tip warriors are dirt cheap and fairly light GPI if you're worried about FOC. Built up some 600 spine target arrows and plan on setting up a set of 500's for hunting if my bow will tune em.

A little worried about FOC. Trying to find a bit lighter GPI arrow so I can add more upfront without being super heavy
 
Standard for me. I like the fact that with standard diameters the components have more strength than their smaller diameter counterparts. I want structural integrity and a good bit of FOC.

Easton 6.5 carbons 500 spine at 7.3 GPI. I use a 100 grain stainless Ethics insert, a 125 grain steel broadhead adapter and a 190 grain Grizzly Single bevel broadhead. That combination works out to right at 650 grains and over 30% FOC. Off the top of my head I think it is 31% FOC but I don't have my notes in front of me.
