PigMageddon 2017

Used to do a good bit of hog hunting in Vidalia Ga.
We would concoct an attractant that worked often. We would sour 5 pounds of corn in water and cherry cake mix. Take the corn and mix it with 5 pounds of peanut butter. Dump it on a big piece of cardboard and then walk in it with whichever boots we intended to scout in. Wear them only when you hit the woods. Go back and hunt the areas that you scout. Works well!!

I agree on the archery test, but rules are rules so I'll take my shotgun if I can go. I am not the best shot in the world, but I am pretty darn effective if I limit myself to 20 yards, so that is what I do. I don't even practice at 30 yards anymore so I'm not sure I could put a couple in the kill zone. Haven't shot my 30 yard pin in a few years! LOL

I think this is a standard test amongst army posts. Its really not that difficult. I typically only use my 20yrd pin and adjust my shot high or low. In drum they're set up 2x20ish 2x25ish 1-2x 30-35

If y'all have pigs in GA as bad as we do in northeast Texas, it'll be pretty easy to get on them. I can typically run into a sounder or two a day if I'm covering a decent amount of ground.

I would probably bring my own kayak/canoe.
Could I bring a friend or two who do not saddle hunt?

I picked the Feb date but the other would also work for me. But any later than that and I will be in turkey mode.

Yes. It's easy.

We have a lot of pigs. So many that there's no closed season on them at all.

Of course. Once we get a final number I'll reserve the Campground and figure out food and firewood.

When do you need good numbers by? You gonna bring some items to swap/sell?? I'm excited about this if you couldn't tell. On non saddle hunters, I plan on bringing some first timers throwing them in a hang on and saddling next to them. This work for you G2?

It all works for me. I need solid numbers 30 days out. That's the earliest I can reserve the Campground, pavilion, and canoes/kayaks.

I'm good with saddlers, and tree standers alike. I'm sure we'll convert them after a long weekend.

It looks like this is going to happen, so I'll begin planning accordingly. I plan on making this top notch for you guys.

I think I'm in. Wife says she don't care as long as I don't sleep with anyone!!! Lol.
If work will cooperate. I will be there.
I don't have camping gear what should I get??

Awesome!

I have plenty if you don't want to buy any. I have tents and hammock setups.
