That would be me, but I had an issue modding the sticks. I have some others that I will mod (after I get access to a drill press), then I will try with original helium part.

BTW, who makes those steps? Do you like them?
Hawk razor shortmax, I like my API huntin sticks better. I did a review on here, I do like them better with the amsteel and using the cleat hitch.

how long is the post on this? I have four of these same seats, they came from the original lone wolf alpha. Awesome idea

I think I'll try this with my Heliums. What size Amsteel did you use with Hawk's tabs? I'm just going to add a washer the bolt to secure the loop.

You could've just moved the versa button around to the side.

I made a loop at each end of some 1/4” amsteel and slung it on. It is so easy to tie and untie on the bolt it’s stupid! I can’t believe I waited this long to try it.

I wrap once around each bolt to hold the pressure then tie it off like a boat cleat.

Could you tell me what that black piece is on the bottom of the post near the platform?

Hey All,
I'm not following this mod? I looked at the Predator in the website and it seems like even with the Versa Button, the platform folds flat. Wouldn't a Amsteel Daisy Chain work just the same? Did you have to drill a hole through the "STEM" in order to install the Bolt and (Plastic Spacers?)? Do you not think that drilling the hole would compromise the STEM of the platform?

I have a EDP Platform and they look very similar. I am wanting to ditch the Buckle Strap so for now just looking into all options. Kinda leaning more towards the Timber Hitch with 1/8" Amsteel Blue.

Just so you know this thread is 2 years old. Most platforms follow the Predator's lead and fold flat now. There may be a few old DIY platforms that don't, but all the new commercial ones do.

I still run this platform from time to time. The best thing going now is the cam cleat.

Yup. I think it did. I suppose I was talking about modern available platforms. I think LW quit making the assassin a few years before the lightweight DIY platform craze hit the forum. I think the assassin was around 7 lbs?

Most guys on here were looking for lighter weight options in the 2016 LPCE.
