How odd it feels that a new Tethrd saddle has been available for a several days, and THIS forum has had nothing posted about it yet.

I swear I'm not a shill, but... https://tethrdnation.com/product/phantom-saddle-xl/

I'm more interested in this one than I was in the previous stuff from them that all felt too small, and I still prefer to sit in one first rather than commit $250 to finding out if this fits.

Seems like a horrible miss, timing wise - to put this out AFTER many of the TNT events happened this summer. The local store (Schupbachs) in MI that does carry Tethrd stuff said they don't have this one - it's direct only.

Anyone have any time with it yet?

I used one at a TNT. It's comfy. Very generous sizing. We had several Squatch-sized men test it out and were impressed. We did not have suspenders to play with unfortunately, so I can't comment on how well or not they work.

I haven't been over the Schupachs in a while. I didn't know they carried Tethrd stuff. I am kinda surprised they waited so long as to make big boy saddles. Some people may like the bigger feel of the XL even if there not a squatch size guy.
@JBDaddy did they have one on display to try?

Schupbachs posted on Facebook months ago that they were now carrying tethrd products. I haven't been in to see them myself. I called yesterday to ask about the XL and they told me that was direct order only, they don't carry it.

From the video it's clear they have the menace, tethers, kneepads, back band, etc.

I am squatch sized, but was built without a butt! I like the new belt, long bridge and I'll definitely use the suspender attachments! I sat in the yard for about ten minutes and decided that I like it enough to post my original phantom up on classifieds...

Any post season updates/reviews on the XL? I think this might be a saddle i’d like to try……coupled with the MVP to use as a two panel and single panel as desired! Brilliant idea.

PS: I’m not a fanboy, please don’t turn this thread into your personal issue outlet! I could care less who made it if it works for me!!!!! That goes for your “beef” with Tethrd as well. Thank you and Have a Great Day.

The phantom XL I thought was one of the most comfortable saddles I have tried this past season. Much more comfortable to me than the regular phantom. The belt is absolutely gigantic though. Needs about 3 feet cut off. Now that it’s on sale I may just grab another one.

The MVP is built well but the adjustment is harder than the standard backband. I prefer the old backband to the mvp.
