I have until Feb 28 as well but not sure how I will spend it. Ducks tomorrow and a scope for .22 just came in for squirrels. I did find a spot with a lot of deer tracks in mud, fresh scat, and a small scrape while working that kinda got me interested again. Good luck out there

Breaking out the smokepole again tomorrow morning. I told the wife it's whack-a-doe day. Hopefully something will walk by in the daylight hours. Unfortunately with the snow cover we have its almost daylight all night right now. I was up at 4:00 this morning and could see like it was the dawn's early light.

Not sure if this is still going on but anyway, just shot a doe. Not a good shot, far back. She ran about 30 yards and she stood around for about 10-15 minutes. She walked about 20yrds and stood around again for 10. She has just walked out of sight. I might have heard her crash but there is a ton of squirrels all around me.

Good Luck! Waiting to hear good news.

2 different pairs of doe have come through sprinting about an hour apart. One set in front of me 60yrds and the other behind me 100yrds. My milk pods doesnt seem to be blowing where they are all coming out of. Not sure whats going on for them to be running

A friend of mine witnessed a buck actively chasing a doe yesterday. I'm guessing there may be some second rut activity going on here where does that weren't successfully bred have come back into heat. Keep your eyes open!

I haven’t been out. Working too much. I still have the month of January. I’ve got to get moving. I’ll get out Sunday, have to work Saturday.
