I have some family obligations on my off days this week but plan on getting out a few times next week. Planning on practicing on a few does early so I'm ready for my rut hunt in November.

I shot a my first velvet buck on Sept 9 public land Maryland but I forgot to get the saddle In The picture. I should be able to get in some more deer and get us more points though.

Saddle, smaddle. We can Photoshop one in. All Bs aside if you honestly killed it from a saddle I'm sure @redsquirrel will allow it. I mean the contest is all for fun so as long as you're being honest no harm no foul.

Damn it was a hot one today. This is pulling out with the boat for an afternoon hunt....

It was really only 97 though

Saw 3, but nothing I could get a shot at. Supposed to be a high of 77 tomorrow, but it will be Saturday before I can get back in the woods.

Yeah it sucks here too. I have till October, but if the grass don't quit growing it may be November before I get to hunt.

I'm going to try and get out next week. I'm still seeing a lot of mid day activity with the does and fawns. Hopefully by going mid week there won't be as many people out.

Waiting impatiently for October first. Gonna be nice hunting next to where I work atleast. Couple hours in a tree in the am then to work.. or keep sitting lol
