I have a lot of Kuiu clothes .
i have an oversized pair of Chinook pants with the built in knee pads and can layer those over base layers,

Anything else interesting out there I should know about?
I need some early season pants that fit better....I'm in TN.

I hate spending "Kuiu money" if I don't have to but I like their stuff as well as the Vias pattern

There was a thread on wrangler outdoor comfort flex cargo pants a while back.
I bought some for late season scouting, and LOVE THEM! I bought the Camo ones for spring turkeys and early deer season. The Camo ones do not have as much spandex in them, and the Camo pattern isn’t a cool Kuiu or Sitka pattern, but I’ll be rocking them out next weekend for KY’s spring turkey opener.

I wear the scent blocker featherweight pants early season in Lower Mid Tn. They are extremely well made. Field days runs specials on them I think I paid $17 per pair for mine.
I have some under armor also that are well made and fit good but they were a fluke I found them at marshals! Lol

Nice
I found them on the Wrangler site for $25

Need to hit Walmart and take a look at their options.
I had noticed synthetic cargo pants there before.

I have some nice REI that are pretty noisy

I’ve not worn the Camo ones yet, they feel a bit different with only a small spandex % change. I doubt they’ll be silent, but poly/spandex for $23. I ain’t complaining much.

The wrangler outdoor flex pants are a slim cut. That’s my only complaint. Wish they were a bit more relaxed.
I have one pair of the Kuiu tiburon pants. Hard to beat in the heat. Much better quality than the wrangler pants but you get what you pay for. I already ripped a pair of the wranglers walking in brush. One of them has the a cargo pocket sewn 1/2 way shut where they extended a seam too far and went over the zipper. Lol but they are just cheap throw away pants. Dry quick but not as breathable as the tiburon.

I wear either my old bdu's or LAPG urban ops pants. They're ripstop which is pretty much a requirement where I hunt cuz of all the sticky briars and thorn bushes. They're thin so they breathe, take a permethrin treatment pretty well and come in every tacticool color except camo. Lots o pockets and at $25 I'm not too annoyed if they do rip. Just sew em back up. They're on sale often. I'm not positive but I think the waist is elastic.

I've got an LAPG pants/shorts collection :)
They are my 'normal pants' (and 5.11).
I haven't tried the LAPG Atlas stretch pants. They still have a good bit of Cotton in them.
They have new "EDC" shorts that are Poly/Spandex. Look shiny.

Looking for something with more stretch, less cotton and still quiet.

I have some pants with the knee pockets, was in a store bout 2 months ago they had the knee pads (soft knee Carhartt) for $2 a pair, bought 12 pair.

Work great.

That's good to know about their shorts. Basselas has a couple pants that are stretchy, the tec lite line, 90/10 poly/spandex. Dunno how you feel about redhead stuff, so there's that.

It can be a tough call.
You buy a bunch of stuff that isn't quite the right material or right pattern (if you care)...or you buy the 'right' ONE.

I've done the same thing with Bows, Guns, Guitars....
What you DON'T want to do is spend a bunch of money on something very nice that you don't like.

Amen to that. Clothes drive me nuts. I have orangutan arms so most clothes that fit are too short in the arms.
I picked up some tec lite pants, they're on sale right now. Man those are sweet pants. Super light. Got the shirt too, it kinda reminds me of a fishing shirt. They'll be perfect for checking my snare line in 90 degree heat this summer. Thanks for bringing up this topic, I never would have found the pants otherwise.

Got two pairs of the Wanglers today.
One "Smoke" and the other in Camo.
As noted elsewhere on here, the Camo have less (35) Spandex compared to 4% in the solid colors.
It makes a significant difference.

And these are cut very slim (which I wanted).
Some people upsize on these.

I am on a successful Keto diet so I should be able to fit in them well :)

Do you think they'll withstand briars?

I am a big fan of my corrugate guides. If you like the wrangler pants they are like an upgraded version. Also the prana stretch Zion are another good option.
