Yeah the only way I can think to do it is give the Admin rights to the forum moderators. But then that's a big time suck. Not sure if they'd want to add people every so often.

Not sure of the best way to do it honestly.

You can setup the existing account details page on the saddle hunter site for people to add their location info (like you have for birthday, email, etc). Add an 'opt in' check box for being displayed on the map and have that data stored in a file that the Google map reads from every time someone clicks the map link. This eliminates anyone from having edit rights to the map. Hit me up over the winter when you have some time and I'll show you the code I use on my company's site to display our corporate locations on Google maps.

Saddle Hunters,
Very often on this site people are looking for other Saddleers in their neck of the woods. I thought it would be nice to have a little map showing where we all are. So, I built a custom google map for us.

You can be as specific (your actual address) or as general (city/state) as you'd like.

You can view the map and add yourself by following the directions here.

You can view the map on your phone (Google maps app), but you must add yourself on a desktop computer.
