GriGri Rappel with Autoblock

There is a trick. WITHOUT an Autoblock, you brake with you brake hand and basically fully open the handle. controlling descent with your brake hand....Otherwise you will just bounce every time you pull the handle.

With an Autoblock, set the AB in place as high as you can get it. Pull the GriGri handle and let the load settle on the AB. Then you can just lightly squeeze the AB to descend.

I have no problem with using the GRIGRI alone. It helps to wrap the running end around your back and hold it with your free hand.

I haven't.
With trying all of these....I think it isn't worth the weight.
Keep it simple and light which is why we got into Saddle hunting in the first place
