First pics of Dan Infalt’s climbing sticks

After clanging and banging my LW sticks through public this weekend I’m tempted to snatch up a set in the spring. Or mod my LW sticks.

80 bucks a stick . A little expensive. They do look great but for now I'll stick with my Lonewolf and helium sticks.

So got my hunting beast sticks today

My initial impressions
I have tried... muddy pros, heliums, various homemade sticks and now these....

1. They are very well made
2. With stealth strips and no attachment method...they weigh 1.7 pounds
3. With out stealth strips... 1.63
4. With the strap and stealth strips... a bit over 2 pounds
5. With a rope less... I guess 1.85 plus or minus .05 A bit heavier than the ones I made
6. Negative for me cost... to Canada... extra shipping $50 duty, exchange over $150 per stick
7. They stack great... no offset and quiet
8. No moving parts or noise - quieter than the ones I made
9. They seem like they are very strong
10. Am I glad I bought them- Yes - but if you are on a budget cut heliums may be better for you.
11. I expect I will be using these sticks over the ones I made even though 3 weigh slightly more than the ones I made. They pack well and are quieter than those I made.
12. The stand offs look great and do not move and are likely quiet but I have not used them hunting yet.
13. Nice job Dan.
Agreed 100%. Tomorrow, I put them to the test and hopefully see some deer!

How many did you get and how high do you think you can get with that number? I have used 4 LW sticks, so I got 4 BS. Not sure I will be able to get as high without aiders and I have never liked aiders.

I got 3. With my aider I can get 24 feet. 6 step aider.
Using the Cain method 18 feet

All else held constant, you won't get as high. The sticks are shorter overall so you just don't have the material to get as high with the same number of sticks. But I can match my 4 xop sticks with 4 beast sticks because I can space them out farther and feel a lot safer doing that. My spacing on the beast sticks is close to 6" more than my xop sticks. Grip is better and I use the double step as a grip for a pull up onto the stick. Kinda hard to explain.

Ultimately, the height wasn't a factor for me getting them. It was every other benefit over my old sticks that made the cost negligible to me, and well worth it so far.

Used mine last night. Crazy how light they were compared to my older style muddy's. Stealth stripped and buckle covers (Thanks @ Nutterbuster !!!!) applied the night before. Went in with 5 only used 4, set up 50 yards off a bedding area, wind helped, quick and quiet. Did not miss the rope caming like I thought I would, Very pleased, Very Pleased!

I climbed a big cottonwood this morning about as big around as I could reach with my ropes draped over the end of my stick to hand it to myself around the tree and the ropes were solid. No more slip settling in than a strap. I find with straps I’m always having to keep pushing the strap up as I try to take out the slack and tighten. Drives me crazy.
