2024 Gear thread

Another new saddle maker out and about for the ultralight guys. The saddle is the exact same shape as the Tethrd phantom. 1” waist belt. Amsteel utilibridge *** edit- evidently I was wrong, the bridge is not the utilibridge style with a prusik, it’s actually using the same size amsteel and tied in a Blake’s hitch, mesh and made in the US. the company is pretty new as far as I can tell. Anyone ever heard of Bull Path Gear?

While checking out the press release for the saddle, I also noticed that Ape Canyon Outfitters will be releasing a backpack and a quiver. I was told the pricing will be $129.99 for the Conclave backpack and $87.99 for the quiver. I saw some pics of it on Instagram.
Looks nice!

I’m pretty sure it’s the newest arsenal platform. Maybe someone can confirm the posts showing it weren’t all that clear.
I thought it was referring to trophyline's new one, which is the magnite material. I could be wrong.
The platform shown is the new Arsenal.

Thanks man. Honestly I am just glad that a safety first company wanted to continue the builds. I am unsure what I can and can’t say. I do not work for ACO or sell their products, but it is my design and I do get a small small percentage of the sells from the saddle so I guess that qualifies me as a vendor but I truly do not know…I will say this and if anything I post or say violates the vendor rules, I apologize in advance to the moderators and I understand if they remove the post….
The guys at Ape Canyon definitely took their time and were patient with me on the design. I am sort of a perfectionist so there were several remakes and postponements of launch before we found the perfect blend of what I designed and a way they could build it and make it profitable for them to continue making in the USA. I personally am not a fan of Kryptek, so it is my hope that they consider other patterns or designs in the future. And I will personally be doing a video of how I modify the bridge on the saddle so that it better fits my preferences, but honestly for the price and quality, I think it’s a very good deal and hopefully some of the guys on here who were wanting one, will still consider the saddle now that it’s made by a company other than my own

Are we hunters or gear testers?
Haha you’ve been here since 2019 and you don’t know the answer is emphatically “both”??

I have actually been here longer than you. Just mostly creep around. Not trying to ruffle any feathers, this whole gear movement has just gotten out of control.

I’m mostly on the hunting beast, where most of the conversation is about actual hunting and strategy geared towards being a better hunter. Not which sticks or platform is going to save me 2 ounces, all these whitetail hunters acting like they are going in 10-15 miles when in reality most of your spots are 1-2 miles tops. At those distances your ounces don’t really matter, you’re better off cutting back on the beers and losing a little weight.

Nothing wrong with taking a simple approach, not worrying about weight, focusing on tactics. But no matter what you weigh, refining your setup to be more safe, efficient, quiet, and comfortable can make you more deadly, whether it allows you to get further in less time, to sit longer, to get in and out with less impact on the deer, etc, and for a lot of people here it’s just fun. If it’s not for you, that’s ok.

I just assumed the mere hovering of your mouse over the purchase button was enough to make the platform quiver into a fracture
The sticks and platforms just break themselves in the mail now to avoid the inevitable gauntlet after unpacking
