What is this? It was off a video taken from one of the 2 cams I leave out through winter for buck survival count. Its in January in MI.

What is it? Reason for me to stay outta your woods. Freakin 6 winged bat or whatever that is. No thanks, I stick to the snakes.

Stick bow - where to start?

Just went back and looked. If we are talking about 40# limbs to start, then I would not even attempt to use the 250's esp cut to 29" but if he ups the draw weight later, they might still be usable with some tinkering.

Stick bow - where to start?

I didnt remember what the draw weight for his bow was and didnt go back to look. At 50# you could prolly make the 29" 250's work but just guessing I would think you would prolly have to go 100 grain insert, 3-50 grain weights plus 125 head minimum. That would put you at 375 up front so you would...

Stick bow - where to start?

It will depend on if you can get the inserts out or not assuming you dont already have 100 grain inserts. If you can get them out, you could go back with the Gold Tip 100 grain inserts and add 50 grain weights to the back until you get enough weight to soften the spine when paired with the 125...

    New Bow Build

I agree with Mike, it should make a fast limb. I am curious why the decision to to have the carbon on the back rather than the veneers? Would have thought you would want the pretty wood out front. If they shoot half as good as they will look, you gonna have fun with them. Cant wait to see 'em...

Stick bow - where to start?

All of those variables is why I think it is best to choose the head you intend to shoot or at least the point weight you want to shoot. Then you arent guessing about what if's as you work toward tune. The front end weight will drive the spine choice and then it is a matter of shortening for...

Yesterday was first time back in the gym for a real effort workout in a while. 10 rounds - 2 minutes on the elliptical @ 65% resistance and 15 pushups. Did a lot of moderately heavy lifting Saturday and so far no back pain. YAY!!

How did the private parcel(s) kick your butt?

    1. Coyote showed up at exactly the wrong time. Primary target buck. 2. 2 mature bucks show up, the one on the No Shoot list stands in the wide open at 17 steps for 5 minutes while the one on the shoot on sight list never gets in a spot he could be killed with buckshot much less a bow. 3...
