I guess I'm lucky. My wife loves to hunt and when I told her I would need a 22 mag because I didn't own one for this she went out bought and surprise me with one. We love things like this. Do they have camper spots or is it tent only?

Plenty of camper spots. I'll check into the reservation process for those. Tent sites are first come, first served. But I believe RV sites can be reserved.

Just spoke the campground folks, reservations 30 days out, primative area only for hunters because of the weapons. They do have RV hook ups but will only let you park there if you can store the weapons(rifles and pistols) in the primative area and have someone that isn't hunting (for some reason).

I'm planning on bringing my camper (toy hauler so I can bring my little boat), and my whole family might be coming, lol, I think my wife is kinda mad cause I assumed she wouldn't want to go, more to follow!

They may have changed the reservation policy. Last year they wouldn't allow tent reservations. You had to show up and claim a site. I believe that 30 day reservation only applies to camper sites. Regardless, I'll have plenty of tent sites reserved.

Don't worry about storing weapons in your camper. That's not an enforceable rule... They're going to enter your camper and inspect for weapons when you're not there??? Plus, the primitive area is only 20 yards from RV sites. How in the hell does that make sense?

I would be proud to bring my wife hunting but there is no way she's ever gonna find the joy in it. She's too afraid of bugs.

Shoot me to. But I would laugh when she was giving the pig mouth to mouth trying to revive it and that wouldn't end well for me!!!! Lol

If hunting with a 20ga slug can, we hunt the areas close to camp? My son loves to use his little Mossberg 500 and it's a killing machine. Would be perfect for pigs. I could always buy a .22 mag as well :D

Forced to buy another weapon?!? lol I like it.

I believe yes he can hunt right out of camp with the shot gun, not sure about the slug part of the equation, I don't know about the 22 mag either

Lol @ImThere

@flinginairos Yes. You can hunt right by the campground with the shotgun and slugs. No buckshot allowed. Actually, the area around the camp is notorious for being loaded with hogs.

I don't think that area is open for 22mags though. I'll have to check to make sure.

IMG_1183.PNG After you download the avenza app follow the link to download the map. For a brief moment I see the more option on the top left. I clicked on more then scrolled over to avenza maps. The open in avenza maps didn't show up until after the import. I think it showed iBooks there before. The more option doesn't stay there long
