2024 Off-Season Getting/Staying In Shape Motivation Thread

Did some 2TC practice this morning. Sweated way too much!

This afternoon did the exercise bike and some leg at the gym. Tried a new thing there, on recommendation of Knees Over Toes Guy. Walked backwards on the treadmill. Man, only 1.2 mph but after 5 minutes my hips were really letting me know about it. I need to do that a lot more apparently.

I’ve been doing the backwards on the treadmill thing most mornings for a few weeks now. It’s a little awkward at first but you’ll pick it up quick. 2.2mph quickly became my sweet spot. I’ve also been doing the rest of the exercises in his knee ability zero book a couple times a week, they seem to be helping both my knees.
 
Ran another easy 6 miles this evening, still icing the shins. I think it's getting a bit better. Tomorrow is a rest day
 
Lazy today. Beer and playoff hockey!! Go Griffins!! (AHL) gym yesterday and that might be it for this week as I'm really booked the rest of the week, until Sunday anyway

We're getting killed. Cossa ( goalie) didn't show up today. Losing 4-1 with only 18 shots on goal halfway through the 3rd. Better luck Friday I hope
