    Why don't yall 2TC?

Thanks. I'm trying to come up with an easier/faster way of passing limbs than my daisy chain. I wanted to redo my foot loop so I can move it quickly from one tether to another. They'll be exactly the same, and I just move the foot loop.

    Why don't yall 2TC?

I'm playing with different foot loops. What length are y'all using between connection point and bottom of your foot loop?

    Buzzard Roost Saddle

I picked up my new Buzzard Roost a couple of days ago. I'm guessing some changes have been made based on pictures and videos I've seen. It looks like the leg loops have been re-worked. I'm pretty impressed with it. The comfort level able to be achieved with the independent panel adjustments are...

Whats up with the 'Sladder Climbing system"?

You could get a piece of wood 1x1 or 2x2, cut to length to run between that top strap and tree and cinch it real tight with velcro wraps, paracord wrap, heavy zip ties, etc. I was able to pull out that next to last step by grabbing the sladder with both hands and leaning back with my full body...

    Alternate to knee pads

I may come to regret it, but I just sold my JX3. It was super comfortable. It was just a tad bulky and heavier than I wanted. I did love it though.

    Alternate to knee pads

Here's a foam seat cut to 6"x14" to fit in lumbar pack and camo taped. There's a paracord with prusik and tiny carabiner to tighten on tree. It weighs 4.5oz.

The knockoff I got doesn't have a red light.

    Headlamp

I got a knock off Night Buddy last year. They're still going strong. I use them all the time for going in the attic and going out in the yard at night. I bought them for processing deer in the field, which they worked great for. I have no complaints. Headlamp Rechargeable 2PCS, 230°...

    2tc vs one sticking

For me, it was advancing the top tether while balancing on the foot tether. Different tree types and diameters change things. I think some of the guys who've made videos that make it look like walking up a tree (North Fourty and Scott Adkins come to mind) is so easy, you have to pay real close...

    Pack for a LWCG .5?

The JX3 pack is pretty good. The camo material is the soft suede type, so it's quiet. The harness comes on and off easy.

CWD and what I should know about it

In Louisiana, it just has to be free of any brain or spinal cord material to be brought in. https://www.wlf.louisiana.gov/assets/Hunting/Deer/Files/Cervid-Carcass-Importation-Regulations.pdf

    Detachable bino harness

The JX3 bino harness uses a quick attach. It can also be length adjusted with the tiny prusik.

    Saddle Station

I really like this setup. It did well on a few different diameter trees. I really like how everything is at your fingertips. The knee pad worked great as shown. And, I can haul a deer out with it.

Whats up with the 'Sladder Climbing system"?

My son made a DIY one from amsteel. Today, we compared several different methods like 2TC, one-sticking, and rope steps. I really liked the sladder type method after almost completely giving up on it. What made it a lot simpler for me was leaning back with my arms pulling on it to pull it away...

    Saddle Station

I like that. I don't know how easy it would be to do the waist belt off and on to swing down, but I could swing down the knee pad and strap it to the tree like what's in these photos. I'm also going to see how it stabilizes the frame with cinching down the waist belt to the tree like you...

CWD and what I should know about it

If I was concerned, I would call and ask them. I'd bother the heck out of them and go up there if I needed. If they are supposed to be monitoring for this and asking for samples, then I'd hold them to it.
