Stick bow - where to start?

Glove or tab is a preference. Get a cheapy glove and I'll send you one of my homemade tabs so you can decide what you like. I'll also send you a nicer string to replace the garbage dacron string that will come with that Deerseeker

If your DL does in fact go to around 28ish like Tom said then 500s will be fine for you.

Stick bow - where to start?

Nah. The Deerseeker version is going for $105 right now. Good as any Sage. As for draw length, can't answer that one because I'm a shorter draw. Stay tuned though... some long arms McGee will chime in in a couple minutes.

Stick bow - where to start?

Start with a Sage. Cheap, available in lefty, and can be at your house in 2 days. Get one with 45lb limbs and I'll send you a set of 30lb limbs to start out working on your form with. If you end up liking it and stick with it, change the 30s for the 45s and go hunt.

LH DAS Dalaa / Hoyt G3 combo

When the limb bolts are turned all the way in it measures 54lbs at 28". Lot of adjustability. Trade for a Slick Stick around 40ish lbs.

    Limb weight reduction question

Yeah the ridiculous thing is I can draw 42lbs just fine but as soon as 45 hits, I'm shaking. Yes sir. Have belt sander. Love that little thing.

    Limb weight reduction question

Looking at a Slick Stick or Quick Stick. 3Rivers has them for about 5 to 15lbs over what I'm comfortable drawing. Yeah, yeah I know. Some will say just lift weights. Not interested in that right now though.

    Limb weight reduction question

I've heard some folks say they bought a one-piece bow that drew over their target weight and then they sent it in to a manufacturer or a boyer and had the limbs reduced to their target weight. Is there anyone here who can perform this kind of surgery? And is there a threshold?... i.e., one could...

Yeah same here. Wanted to get into smoking a pipe but that fired up the addiction again and so I had to throw it all away. Tried to let this thread die because of it.
