    Favorite "large" platform?

I have not tried nearly every platform out there but I would agree with that. To the OP’s question, I would not worry very much about comparing inches on this or that platform. There’s many options. Find one that fits your budget and weight preferences (preferably a lighter one) and then add 2-3...

Shout out somebody that helped you get started!

@g2outdoors and DIY Sportsman’s videos really laid the foundation for me when I had no clue what a saddle was and was entirely reluctant towards any treestand system, for safety and weight reasons. @woodsdog2 sold me my first saddle (Trophyline Ambush Lite). Gotta give props to my cousin’s...

    2TC guys… rappel or not?

I’m still working out the kinks with 2TC but 2TCing down is too easy. If ever I go back to one sticking I might still 2TC down. Barring emergency hypotheticals, the only fun thing about rappelling is a quick descent. There are many reasons I don’t like rappelling but one is that the net time to...

    Northern lights

Yeah ditto. I'm in SE PA. I told my wife if we'd have known the Lights were in Southern Ohio, we would have drove there so she doesn't have to drag me to subzero Norwegian dark winter to see them someday.

    Help? Pfaff sewing machine

So on that, I called a repairman who said kinda this same thing. He said because the manufacturer is no longer in business you cannot replace the motor outright, and for whatever reason the brush replacement is 50/50. Sometimes it works, sometimes it fails a week later burning up soft brushes...

    SH Superlatives

Think it was Hemingway said “Write drunk, edit sober.” Worked pretty well for him. Edit: …well, till it got him in the end lol

    One-sticking or 2TCing in hammock-style saddle?

I wear size 32 jeans (weirdly the actual tape measurement is more like 37" inches right around my waist... I have no idea how clothing manufacturers measure). With a hoodie and my hunting coat on it's 42" just above my belly button, as I think as an RCH should fit. So by what you're saying, I...

    Help? Pfaff sewing machine

Yes the hand wheel turns freely, needle moves properly. Motor makes a weak buzzing noise when pedal is engaged. The needle is then unresponsive.

    Help? Pfaff sewing machine

Looking for some input on this sewing machine. This was my wife's grandmother's machine, who gave it to her. My wife didn't really ever use it, but a few years ago I was sewing a hem in some heavier fleece material and it sounded like the motor wore out; it wouldn't drive the needle anymore. (I...

    One-sticking or 2TCing in hammock-style saddle?

I need some help with RCH sizing. Am I right for proper fit you can wear the RCH over all pants and base layers, but for the waist you should be against base layers to contact the iliac crest? Are you wearing your outer layer over top of your RCH? If so doesn't the belay loop then make the...

No kidding. I was wondering the same thing. Flinging an arrow is like calling in a drone strike from that height

    2tc vs one sticking

That’d be cool. But 2TC can be so body specific that it may just require ya to go inchworm with some tethers. @gcr0003 has the most helpful videos I’ve found so far, and @Samcirrus if you like complicated hitches and gear experiments lol

    Pursuit Platform Gen 2 questions

Yeah I wondered if that would happen, thanks for the input. Maybe it’s elastic enough it doesn’t matter. Makes me wonder if repeated stress like that with a ratchet will be detrimental. I presume the same thing is happening to a lesser degree with an OCB though, just harder to observe maybe.

    Pursuit Platform Gen 2 questions

Has anyone tried a ratchet strap with the V2? I keep hearing the OCB is super tight but having used an OCB with my Scout Solo I know there is a little bit of give, especially when you add some ROS, and I prefer the solidity a ratchet gives. But I wonder if this plastic material can withstand the...
