    What am I doing wrong

this is good advice. I hunt an area that is littered with tracks but you will never see a deer during daylight due to all the horse back riding, hiking, dog training, etc that goes on very near to these spots...you need difficult access, food, and cover to increase your sightings. The transitions...

Considering something somewhat sketchy...1 Sticking with the Latitude Carbon stick

you could test this in your yard and that tab does hold you and works the way you want and then you climb that way for 99 hunts...but on that 100th hunt, the tab breaks at hunting height and your stick falls to the ground, you had slack in your line because your tether was still chest high in...

Considering something somewhat sketchy...1 Sticking with the Latitude Carbon stick

love my latitude sticks but my concern with using them as a onestick is the foot space...its fine for climbing multiple but i think that and one sticking is super sketch. the attachment method also wont be super one stick method friendly...doing one side of that attachment method may also break...

    Permissions on private

forget to mention....one year i made a post on my facebook that just basically said hey if anyone that can see this has property or know someone that has property and would be willing to let me hunt let me know. I did have somebody that was friends with my wife reach out saying someone they knew...

    Kayak with troller

pretty sure you cant. Once a vessel becomes motorized, it has to be registered. I have the nucanoe frontier myself and have researched this to great extent and talked with LDWF about it...i bought mine used so i face the paperwork dilema as i dont have sales tax proof but do have the statement...

    Kayak with troller

for longer distance and big open water, trolling motors on a yak is a really good option. safety wise you need to consider several things: -how wide is your kayak which directly relates to how stable your kayak is (you may need to add outriggers) -what is the weight capacity of your kayak (the...

    Ascending options for one sticking?

i use his method and have for a couple seasons, works great. schwabisch hitch above an ATC and auto block attached to my right loop. the ATC tends the hitch as i climb. I hunt on this setup, no switching over required. When im ready to get down, i just rappel down by pulling down a bit on the...

    Worst fear

yeah no thanks, im allergic...not severely, but enough to where i would have a really bad time. When we hunted in Illinois, buddy of mine climbed up a tree and then when daylight hit he could see the huge hornet nest right above his head, needless to say, he didnt stay in that tree very long after.
